Let me tell you how I really feel: HOLIDAY GIFT EXCHANGES

First off, let's get this out of the way...I find it hard to be grateful for what I am gifted and happy with what I have.  I'm working on it, ok?!

I HATE holiday gift exchanges...I don't know why I still bother to participate in them every year.  They are purely volunteer and never work out the way I hope.

I feel like I am always putting in more effort than my partner to try to get to know the person (real-life or not) and I am nearly always disappointed in what I receive (and often time don't receive anything at all from the online exchanges I have participated in.

Am I a Christmas Grinch?  Yes, I probably am, but I'm over it...no more gift exchanges for me!  Why buy $15-$25 worth of well though-out gifts (plus shipping at time) and not receive something I want or like in return.  I might as well buy myself some Starbucks!

Super-Easy Honey Mustard Onion Chicken!

Even the picky kiddos should love it!

Ingredients:

skinless/boneless chicken of your choice (we use tenders)
French's Honey Mustard dipping sauce
French's French Fried Onions original
(makes as many servings as you need!!)

1. pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
2. rinse and separate chicken, place in a foil-lined baking sheet (I also spray with cooking spray to avoid sticking)
3. coat chicken with honey mustard (I use a silicone brush)

4. sprinkle fried onion a-top your chicken (or you can crush them and roll your chicken in them, but why do the extra work!  ;)

5. bake in oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown

add your sides and enjoy!

We love to pair this with Near East brand original Rice Pilaf and whatever veggies we have on hand, this is delicious and quick meal with little prep time.  All 3 of us picky eaters love it!

Share below and let me know if you've tried this or if you've made any new twists to this dish!

VERI organic and low-carlorie SODA review

We were recently sent a case of VERI organic (and low-calorie) SODA to review.

I haven't been drinking much soda since going on a diet and losing weight about 3-4 years ago.  Occasionally I will reach for a Coke Zero (the only "diet" soda I can stand) or even less often; a full calorie regular coke.

I'm sure you are all familiar with the craving for soda...especially when having certain foods like Pizza or something salty like chips or popcorn!  We all have our soda cravings from time-to-time and I am happy to say that VERI is an excellent substitute for my soda craving!

Make sure you check out their site here at  VERI SODA.  They currently offer varities such as cola, orange and lemon-lime and all are quite tasty when compared to both their full-calorie and no-calorie/diet counterparts!  This is a soda with no artificial colors, no artificial aromas, no artificial flavoring and no artificial sweeteners.
